bit surprised it's a two year deal. For instance, puts him on same basis as Davies as well as Mahmood, Jones and Bohannon contracted to 2020.

Key word is initial suspect Danny will leave permanently I certainly wouldn't blame him leaving if he got first team cricket at another county. I can't see him getting into our championship side unless there is a spate of injuries. He will be in our T20 squad but will probably get limited opportunities particularly this season with CDG and Mitchell providing backup seam options.

Joining Sussex next season 3 year deal. Another one jumps ship or was pushed beforehand. More possibuilities lie ahead, as posted on Parkinson:
"I believe Croft, Vilas, Lamb, Jones and Blatherwick are out of contract in addition to Parkinson." That's before 'by mutual consent' comes into things. Could be on for a clear out.
