Finally received a deserved County cap can anyone think of a reason why the presentation wasn't performed at Southport & Birkdale? Did they really only make the decision between 1st September and 4th September? Were his 7 wickets at SnB vital to receive his cap? Or were those who make the decisions unaware that he had not already received the cap, as was suggested when Parry was awarded his? If there was a good reason not to award it during a home match why not hold it over it till the end of season presentation dinner?
How long will Onions have to wait - till Headingley?

Have to agree the three lads who were capped early also didn't get their caps in front of the home faithful, being capped should be done in front of the old Pavilion with a home support in attendance.

He played in 1 of the ODI games against India A picking up 2/23 off 8 overs which gave him an incredible economy rate of just 2.87 (albeit India A were all out for 121).
He didn't play in the first of the two 4 Day Games but he picked up 1/57 off 27 overs in the second game (India A only batted once).
Great to see him getting the recognition he deserves after an excellent couple of seasons for Lancs, but can't realistically see him ever going up to the next level.

I have just been reading the recap of the recent members forum on the Lancs website. Chilton told the forum that he wanted to recruit an overseas batsmen for next year but did not mention adding to our bowling attack. |

Don’t know what happened with the ghost posts, but it was in response to Alan’s comment about Chilton not mentioning our bowling attack.
I suggested that Chilton perhaps thinks that Mahmood will surprise us all and actually be fit next season.
