Agreed SP. Luke Proctor has given great value whereever he has played and maximised his potential. He is very highly thought of at all the Liverpool competition clubs where he has been a pro.

Gather Gavin Griffiths has been released by Leicestershire Think they wanted him to go last year, but he chose to fulfill his contract with them. Consequently he spent the whole year in the seconds didn't even play a RL50 game for the 1st XI.
Will move back to move back to Ormskirk or pro somewhere in the NW?

I see that Luke Procter is averaging 81.50 with three centuries this season, sitting 3rd in the Division 1 averages. Signed a new 2-year contract with Northants, described by his coach as a leader both in the dressing room and on the pitch, although, interestingly, not made captain. We can't keep everybody, so all you can say is well done to him for making the best of his career. Congratulations to Luke Procter as he is named as Northamptonshire's county championship captain for their 2023 season. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/63861244

I wonder how is career would have developed if he'd stayed at Lancashire. Would he now be established in the championship side?

Procter had his best ever season with the bat in 2022, hope the captaincy doesn't weigh heavily. He has gone onto have a very good career, 13 years as a professional.
