Aye, hope Vilas can give us a few last hurrahs until the end of the season. Good player for Lancs, but probably right time to go. Same with Crofty.

Sad news but isn't he retiring from all Lancs cricket not just 4 day? I think he has been one of the best Lancs captains. Another one one going.....Croft next? Vilas has been a great player for us but the time is right to go. The same for Croft, I assume he will stay behind the scenes so maybe there for emergencies. No idea what contracts Livingstone and Buttler are on but I would only give them T20 ones (as long as Livingstone isn't captain!) and it wouldn't bother me if both left. Will be a different team next season, hopefully recruitment will be good. Buttler and Livingstone are both, this season at least, centrally contracted by England. England control when they play for the county, it is not determined by their Lancashire contract.
But Buttler signed a three year contract extension deal last October. As an extension I would guess it should cover all formats, as he previously played all formats but everything depends on his availability according to the ECB. Livingstone signed a new 3 year deal in December 21. Back in 2021 he was playing County Championship, so I suspect it too is all format, but the ECB will be limiting his availability this year, maybe next year will be different. Lancashire deals could be renewed or replaced anytime between now and end 2025 (Buttler) and end 2024 (Livingstone).

Is this Dane's last game? I thought he was here until the end of the season.

Fantastic servant to the club 👏 thanks for everything. Hope he has a happy retirement.
Not many overseas will do 7 consecutive seasons with a club.
Great he got a hundred in his last innings.
Croft to play next week for his last hurrah at OT?

Made up for him today been a class act while hes been here ,Wont miss his running between the wickets thou Yes he was involved in a few run outs. Also one of best fielders on the boundary and able to return the ball accurately into the wicket keeper's gloves...

No praise is too high for this man. Great player, great leader, great person according to all who have met him.
Deserves to go down as one of our greats alongside Wasim, Clive Lloyd etc. Not in the same category as a player but gave everything for Lancs at a time when county cricket has been suffering on a variety of fronts.
Probably not the greatest captain tactically and could have been more adventurous (guess that's the South African in him) but we've become a side in his image: gritty, resourceful, hard to beat.
Hope he enjoys his retirement. We should have him back as a coach if he'll come.
