FWIW I would have no issue with Wells playing. He is a loyal servant to the club. His spin might be useful as well! You've got your wish Rob, Wells is in the squad. Lancashire's policy from last season may be changing? |

Wells for Croft so he can resume coaching would be least disruptive to the squad which got them there. And provide the 6th bowling option. Singh, Boyden, Blatherwick the others to miss out unless Williams needs a rest. But would you rotate out your leading wicket taker? Would drop vilas for Wells Croft batted well in the last game. ********************* Yes, I have to agree Rob, sad to have to say, his form during the tournament and season in general has been disappointing. For such an important match, I feel it would be too much of a risk. Quite sad really! |

Bringing Wells in for the injured Bohannon makes sense. But what happens if we win, Wells scores a century but Bohannon is fit again?
You don't rotate players for knockout matches.

Is this blind faith with Vilas? Great servant etc etc but his current form is screaming out for him to have a rest...hope I'm wrong.
