Not the same situation.... Whilst Broad was appealing for an LBW against Grandhomme, Pope spotted Grandhomme was attempting a run and had left his crease and so threw down the stumps ..the scoreboard records this as a run out.

Weather could effect the game tomorrow and Monday but should be sufficient time for England. Let's hope England don't throw their wickets away and Stokes has to be wheeled out to win the game....

England 237 and 27 for 0 need 224 more runs to beat Australia 263 and 224 (Head 77, Khawaja 43, Broad 3-45, Woakes 3-68)
Some brainless short pitched tripe to Head last night although saying that he batted well

Seems to be theme of England getting into advantageous positions and then throwing it away...

More brainless cricket by both sides today. Morgan said , just after I’d said the same to my brother-in-law , that he couldn’t understand how far back the fielders were with only 30 needed. It reminded of the Somerset v Lancashire tie in 2018 when Lancs gave singles anywhere from 30 down to one needed. They then brought everyone in except one slog corner fielder. And what happened ; two batsmen out with the scores level . Both panicked ; one stumped and one caught by said cow corner ( Bailey). Good to see Aussies playing brainless cricket too ; we’ve certainly played enough.

England 237 (Stokes 80, Cummins 6-91) and 254 for 7 (Brook 75, Starc 5-78) beat Australia 263 (Marsh 118, Wood 5-34) and 224 (Head 77) by three wickets
If the Aussies actually win a toss they will win the Ashes, so what wicket will we get at OT next week wil it be a 10 day wicket the ones like they produce for the County Championship games

I'd be surprised if Jimmy plays at OT; Bairstow must a doubt...too many dropped catches

Bairstow should be dropped but he's part of the Yorkshire mafia and Stokes buddy so they'll keep him in. Glad Wood and Woakes had good games as that means they should be kept in. I'd drop Robinson too. Think Tongue should have kept his place. No problem with Jimmy being dropped, he seemed lackluster in the 2nd test and was poor in the field. Thought Ali was poor too, but took a couple of important wickets in the Aussies 2nd innings. So he'll probably keep his place.

Well played Englands women for turning the series around against the Aussies. Hopefully they can keep it up and bring the Ashes home.

Jimmy back in the starting XI for the 4th Test, I really hope he performs. On the website match day guide it says gates open at 9am each day, on my tickets it says 9am 1st day, 9.30am all other day's. Can they never get anything right? They couldn't run a brewery in a pi55-up!
