Is Jimmy only back because its at OT? My understanding is that before a ball was bowled Jimmy was playing the back to back Edgbaston and Lord's Tests before taking a breather for the Headingley Test then coming back for Old Trafford, taking the place of Broad or Robinson, whichever one was bowling better and had no injury issues. As it is Broad is bowling well and Robinson has injury issues. As I said these were the plans before the First Test.

Its been sunshine and showers for a long while so I'd be surprised if the wicket is quick. I would say neither Jimmy or Bairstow's performances in the previous tests were outstanding but England seem to ignore that.

Fair play to Bairstow with his batting today.

Australia 317 and 113 for 4 (Labuschagne 44*, Wood 3-17) trail England 592 (Crawley 189, Bairstow 99*, Root 84, Brook 61, Moeen 54, Stokes 51, Hazlewood 5-126) by 162 runs
Suspect it won't change much for this over the next two days

They've just done an interview at OT and the room they were in has water dripping from the ceiling, it's the Lancashire way

Australia 317 and 214 for 5 (Labuschagne 111, Wood 3-27) trail England 592 by 61 runs
Just think if they actually bowled their full quota of overs per day we may have already won
