Did anybody attend the members forum yesterday? Interested to hear what was said particularly about the performance of the team this season.

Not me....I took too much notice of the weather forecast! I think the forum was more about the Hundred sale.

Another one sticking his hand up re being put off by the forecast. It was a miracle they got a (almost) full game in considering the forecast was hovering round 80 to 90 per cent chance of rain in the afternoon. As already quoted the hundred and the heritage were apparently under discussion...lets brush the woes of the team, the furore surrounding the stands/spectators for the Notts VB game under the carpet.

Northamptonshire v Gloucestershire abandoned sounds like a dodgy pitch

Wells and Bohannon filled their boots against an under strength Kent on a Road at Canterbury.
If it weren't for that only Jennings has had a decent season the rest have been very poor.

Many thanks John, really interesting. And, at least on how definitive they sound on not de-mutualising, even some cause for hope!

Thanks for posting this John. A few things stood out as I read through the cricket section. There were a few references to the new coach bringing a new culture of playing more attacking cricket. Is this why early in the season I saw Balderson and Bell batting normally until they got to 20, 30 runs and then losing their wicket to a rash shot. Then now we are in September their batting seems to be confused and lack confidence.
Chilton credits the coach for the selection of Hurst and Aspinwall for the Hundred. Surely both these two players were developed under Chapple and emerged in the ODC last year.
Both in Chilton’s comments and a recent interview with Benkenstein it is stated that the performance of each player is down to the individual. This is true but when it is stated publicly it sounds like the coach and DOC are relinquishing their responsibilities.
The comment by Chilton that Venkatesh Iyer had been brought in to strengthen the four day team is now laughable, our friend Jack Blatherwick would have been as effective as Iyer if he had played in his place.
