Elsewhere :-
Lewis Hill the Leicestershire Captain won the toss yesterday against Gloucestershire and put the visitors in to bat, a short time ago they declared on 706/6
Guess he might have realised he may have made a mistake when they were 316-0

Thoought so, not reknowned for massive totals, well not since Wally Hammond was doing his thing in the 30's, the above is Gloucestershire's highest ever first class score

Lancashire seem to have gone full on Bazball. Don't know why, surely they should bat cautiously to the close, build the lead and preserve wickets for tomorrow. When the plan would be to declare around tea with a lead of 450+.

Bohannon is playing a shot a ball. Surely Jennings needs to have a quiet word hes absolutely manic out there.
There are two days left to go with a very callow middle order to come!

When the plan would be to declare around tea with a lead of 450+ . I'm just as puzzled...especially in view of our fragile middle order. We seem to be playing like it's Day 3 and we are in a hurry to set a target.Great debut by Aspinwall perhaps he should have come in as a replacement for Bailey earlier..

Wells out for 6. Needs a spell in the 2nds. With our squad we don't have many alternatives. We could bring in Harry Singh as a like for like replacement but he is not scoring consistently for the 2nds. Or we could push Balderson up to open and bring in Lavelle at 6.

Ironically , Bohannon edges behind playing one of the few defensive shots in his frenetic little innings! Is he trying to impress the selectors by mimicking Pope? If so it’s not a good idea and doesn’t suit him. But I’m not inclined to moan after two splendid days of cricket.
