Hartley getting his county cap...can't be many getting their cap after so few games for Lancs... Excluding the likes of Symonds, Katich, Laxman, Faulkner, Maxwell, Hasan Ali
Buttler: 16 first class, 4 List A, 51 T20 Hartley: 22 first class, 0 List A, 56 T20 Byas: 15 first class, 19 List A, 0 T20
Onions: 23 first class, 12 List A, 3 T20
They mostly follow the England lead. Although not sure why they missed out on Gleeson, Wood and Salt all capped by England before Hartley. Surely they (and Balderson or Williams) could have been awarded caps at end of season bash. Probably forgot.
Luke Wood 22 first class matches, 673 runs, 1 century, 41 wickets for Lancashire, Tom Hartley 22 FC matches, 538 runs, 0 centuries, 22 wickets for Lancashire. Both debuted for Lancashire in 2020. Wood Debuted for England in 2022/23 (ODI and T20) Hartley in 2023 (ODI) 2023/24 (Tests).
Wonder what they would have done had Benkenstein left him out of the team today?

Lancs are entertaining Kent at Old Trafford over the next four days. Meanwhile the official website aren't that sure...not the first time either View Attachmentand yet no-one takes responsibility.
They have stopped replying when I point out errors to them, they just slip in the odd correction.
I believe the problem goes back to when the new website was chosen by people who did not understand what they were doing. It appears from the outside, that they chose a website for its look but which is not simple to update. They have to know how many different places to update everything each time something happens. Or simply the senior communications team is badly led and don't care. Whichever, it is difficult to conclude anything other than them being simply careless.

Thanks...though Buttler, Onions etc were experienced imports...how about players who started their career at Lancs? |
