Think this will be Bailey's last season. 75mph half trackers and half volleys in your 2nd and 3rd spells aren't cutting it. Might do a Mike Watkinson and reinvent himself as an off spinner all rounder He’s trying some off spin now… Desperate times.

Think we have missed Lyon here. He had to be rested for a game and with Hartley England bound realistically it had to be this one.

Bailey Williams Balderston all very similar. Mahmood still injury prone and not what he used to be unfortunately. Hartley never going to take wickets in red ball cricket with his deliveries. This with an inexperienced middle order and an overseas player that is only good enough for local cricket. Not a good recipe this year I'm afraid.

Having been in the ground pretty early first two days I noticed a marked difference in the warm ups of both teams. One looked professional happy and focused and one looked half hearted and haphazard. Didn't notice Benkenstein over much.

I was wondering earlier how many wickets we might lose before we wipe the deficit off but with it now topping 150 will we even clear it?
I suspect there will be comments from some about letting Hameed go but as I recall he had three poor seasons in a row. Should Lancashire have kept persevering?
Maybe as well as getting a couple of games from 41 year old Anderson, 39 year old Croft could bolster the middle order a bit.
