Further to my previous comment I’ve now seen on the website that Wood is having his workload managed. Nothing about Anderson though, if he’s injured it surely isn’t by playing cricket. Wasn’t this meant to be one of his two final games for us, or is he intending to play after his final Test? On another subject, is Croft’s contract for T20 only, or is he likely to play in the ODC as well? Anderson is away for 4 days playing Legends Golf in Ireland from 19-22 June so he could make it back for Sunday 23rd. |

A cloudless sky in Canterbury this morning. This looks like a very big toss to win and we all know our record when it comes to that. CC won 2 lost 5, VB won 1 lost 7. We are due!

Silence re Bruce and Anderson. The Lancashire way!
It almost looks like a 2nd XI with one or two first teamers playing for a bit of practise.That squad is a shambles. Good luck to the young lads if they get a go but deary me. What must Lyon be thinking? Seems like there is a bit going on behind the scenes and none of it good. |

Well uncapped players, which includes Lyon, have outnumbered capped for a while...Luke Wood only played 2 CC games last season...

We can only hope that Bailey & Williams regain last year's form or this is going to be the weakest seam bowling attack we've put out for many a year. We can also only hope that Wells & Bohannon get their heads down and support Jennings, but I won't hold my breath. It's almost like we've given up. Kent must be licking their lips.
I did wonder if Lyon would find some reason not to return, so credit to him for fronting up. The silence over Anderson & Bruce is an insult to members and supporters. The club keep saying that they're going to improve communication but it never happens.

When leaving my accommodation this morning I thought win the toss and bat all day long. Now I've seen the track it is very green so I can see why we've inserted them. Pressure on our bowlers to deliver now. |
