Make the most of this, red ball disappears for a couple of month, possible last sighting of Jimmy in a Red Rose shirt, apparently sold out on the first day, remember the ime they had 10,000 in at Trafalgar Road but Elf and Safety rules, best of luck getting passed the Stasi. Won't be going www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2637343The scorching British summer still not arriving

Planned to go on Sunday but train times from North Lancs are unhelpful. The weather forecast for Monday suggests a disrupted day's play.

With a dodgy weather forecast for at least 2 out of the 4 days it makes Lancashire's win at Kent even more important. Our next CC game is away to Surrey, that's where we may need the rain gods on our side.

Yes, it looks like there will be some rain around. Forecasts vary with some having Monday the wettest day, others saying Wednesday. One thing for sure, it's going to be cool and breezy. What happened to all those forecasts saying we could now expect long hot summers every year?
Will Hartley be available? Will we play two spinners? Will Blatherwick be preferred to Anderson?

Thought Chris Green had just been signed for T20. Presumably means he'll play, in which case not much point having Barnard in the squad. We're not likely to play 4 spinners.
Green last played a FC match in March for NSW against Queensland. Didn't bowl in the 1st innings and took 1-68 from 15 overs in the 2nd innings. Only batted once, scoring 8.

"... remember the ime they had 10,000 in at Trafalgar Road..."
I was a member then but can't remember going. Must have been cosy to say the least with Southport being a small ground. I believe this was a game against Scotland in the B&H played in May 1987 and, due to the weather, played over two days with no play on the first day. Also televised apparently..
A 55 over game Lancashire won by 7 wickets - O'Shaughnessy 69 not out and Allott 3 for 24.
On Hartley do we need him when we have Wells? 12 wickets at 23 average this season..

When his signing was announced Lancashire or Chilton made no mention whatsoever about him being available for the CC, they do like to tease don't they! Will he be available for the 50 over comp, he would be a good addition to an already depleted squad?

This is going to be an interesting starting XI. If Jimmy and Green play then who misses out? Barnard and Blatherwick (?) appear to be 2 but who is the other? Williams/Bailey if they opt for just 3 seamers or Lavelle becomes the fall guy and everyone pushes up a place in the batting order?

Doesn't Green get a regular gig in the 100? His name isn't in any of the squads.
