Spot on Alan. I doubt if any of us have much love for Surrey but they do so many things so well ; yes they pinch players but they get so much more out of them . We don’t have to look far for an example!
Re John W commenting on watching cricket at the Oval, have to agree. Not been since 1993 but that is a very fond memory with a tv view from the second tier of the pavilion and both Wasim and Waqar performing at their best. It showed that watching County Cricket at a Test stadium with a small crowd does not have to be a dispiriting experience as Trent Bridge has also proved to me several times.

Whilst I completely agree that it's absurd that Wood is 'managing his workload', I'm not that worried that he isn't playing as his red ball record for us isn't that great.
Seem to be a lot of seam bowlers in that squad. Perhaps one or two are injury doubts.

I'm surprised by the team selection and it's not the team I would have chosen assuming everyone in the squad is fully fit, Bailey, Bell and Mahmood left out.

Jennings sawn off possibly Scorecard showing him out LBW now. Looked like he had been given out caught behind originally.

Bohannon out. Especially disappointed in salt given how short of batting we are and the fact relegation is still a definite risk. Although he has talked about wanting to be a test player he will probably go down the t20 only route now. Needs to get his beauty sleep before the psl I guess.

Luck going Surrey's way with Jennings "lbw" and Bohannon playing on. Flintoff looking good though..
