It looks like at best we might pick up just three bowling points and so a positive result either way in the Worcs/Kent game is bad news for us.
Worcester already look to be in a decent position.

204-9 all predictable going to be a long four days if it lasts that long It's not lasting 3 days. We aren't lasting in this division and hopefully that applies to several staff members at the club too. |

I thought Iyer was a batsmen who did a bit of bowling but it seems he's a part time bowler who doesn't bat.

Bad light comes to the rescue. Our batting lacked application (to use an old fashioned term) and our bowling lacks balance and is too inexperienced.

Might not last into Day3 at this rate.
I think Jennings was the last marquee signing we made from another county. I guess you could count Salt, but he was brought in as a replacement for Davies, so wasn't really adding to the team. From a county which supposedly wants to be the premier county that's not good enough. I'm all for bringing our own players through, but there has to be a balance. Surrey seem to get it right.

One wag on the Guardian County Cricket forum suggested that Lancs had taken the search for a like for like replacement for Tom Bruce too literally .
