Jimmy is injured apparently, hurt his calf chasing a football with the England squad according to Broad on commentary this morning. He was pictured on the England balcony at the Oval today with his calf strapped up. Look forward to the day at the other OT when Ten Haag warms up for the game by letting them play cricket, somehow can't see it ever happening |

Not too injured to be playing in a pro-am golf tournament in Surrey!! We assume fit again, but clearly the intended “couple of matches for Lancashire” aren’t going to happen. Talking about the franchise route, 20 over cricket wasn’t exactly his strength ten years ago. There’ve been suggestions that both Mahmood and Wood won’t play first class cricket again for us and switching to the batting, that will no doubt be the case for Buttler (remember him?) and Livingstone as well. Winter recruitment might be interesting. |
