Had a walk up to the ground yesterday evening and it looked waterlogged in places and was still raining at the time.

I heard some suggestion on the Test match commentary that Jimmy Anderson has an injury, the slim prospect of him playing for us again this season seems to recede further.

Oh dear, Bedingham is back for Durham, could hasten the final nail in our coffin.
They've signed West Indian fast bowler Chemar Holder for the final 3 games. It's the battle of the two unknown West Indian fast bowlers.

Me and the Mrs are up there for the 4 days. We'll be easily spotted, we'll be the ones with MUG written on our foreheads! Weather forecast is a bit better on the Met website. Hope you've taken blankets, gloves and woolly hats. Looks like being seriously cold on Wednesday, if we take it that far! Hope you enjoy it, anyway.

Still raining. Do well to see any play before tea.

Yes we've come well prepared, us cricket fans are a hardy lot! I've even dug my thermals out! As I entered the ground all players were out practicing then the rain set in and they scuttled off. The covers are now coming off and the forecast is fine for the rest of the day (allegedly!). It is getting brighter, let's hope we have two positive umpires who want to get on with it.

I heard some suggestion on the Test match commentary that Jimmy Anderson has an injury, the slim prospect of him playing for us again this season seems to recede further. He was interviewed by Stuart B-road on Sky, said he’d hurt his calf bowling in the nets, didn’t seem to imply it was a big deal, so you never know.

Annoying drizzle and heavy cloud that doesn't want to budge. More covers being brought back on. Extremely frustrating!
