Joe Leach's last game for Worcester, like our own Steven Croft he's been an outstanding county cricketer, playing all his cricket for one county. I remember a game I saw at Worcester against Warwickshire where Ian Bell scored a sublime century and Joe Leach was pretty much the only bowler who could keep him honest. Cricketers retire every year but Croft, Leach and potentially Luke Fletcher all going at the same time does feel like the end of some kind of era (although I fully expect Luke Fletcher to join Samit at Derby).

It says on my laptop that Worcestershire are batting but I assumer there is some mistake and it is the red rose that is wilting.

Hazard a guess bet they don’t get back on Agreed, it'll take them half an hour at least to get the covers off anyway!

“It says on my laptop that Worcestershire are batting but I assumer there is some mistake and it is the red rose that is wilting.” Some wag on Guardian blog on seeing Worcs 4 down said “ How many were Lancs all out for”. OE, Richard Clarke in The Cricket Paper last Sunday wrote a really nice article about Joe Leach and Luke Fletcher.
