Time to build on last weeks victory, tough game though against Championship pretenders Somerset, the hosts having just beaten those with six fingers at Headingley will also need a win in their quest to overtake Surrey. Taunton usually turns so expect Parkinson in for Lester also if and I think Livingstone will play adds an extra spinner to the side. Batting wise unlikely to get Jennings back as the next test starts Friday providing they pick him.

I’m getting crack of dawn train on Wednesday and should be at ground for virtually start of day 2. Will try to report on days 2,3 and 4 if there is one. Have to leave about 1800 each day as last bus back to my friend’s is 1810.
Be good to have Livingstone back ; has a good record against Somerset .

Having looked at the squad batting looks even weaker Your not wrong, Livingstone weaken`s it, 167 in 10 innings this season at ave of 18.55, that`s worse than Chanderpaul who`s been let out.

69-5 just before lunch our recovery has stalled according to the normally supportive Scott Read on the BBC website:
"The only part of the morning session which went Lancashire’s way was winning the toss.
What followed was a procession of wickets to leave Lancashire five down.
Steven Croft received a excellent ball from Jack Leach, bounce, turn and then stumped moments later.
Aside from that Somerset haven’t had to work too hard to remove Lancashire’s top order."
Looking at the Somerset twitter feed: Davies and Brown particularly to blame both holed out, the former on a full toss, straight to mid on. Horrible shot.

99 all out, 60 for 5, this is not going to be a draw.

99 all out, 60 for 5, this is not going to be a draw. Two day game on the cards restrict them to a small lead we have a chance

Gregory and Leech taking any chances we had of a victory away with this partnership, useful lead on a turner
