There is a planning application for building flats from 5 to 13 stories on the old B&Q site on Great Stones Road. I have found planning application on Trafford council website : publicaccess.trafford.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=PB0WWNQLK4800&activeTab=summaryThe club have sent members an email to support them to oppose the plan ( see below) by attending the planning applications meeting tomorrow night at Trafford Town Hall-I feel it is rather last minute to ask members to come down to the meeting unless they feel strongly about the plans. Dear Member, Lancashire Cricket needs your support. At 6pm tomorrow (Thursday 28 March), Trafford Council will make their decision on the proposal for a new 13-storey development directly behind the stadium on Great Stone Road. As a Club, we strongly object to the proposed plans. If the application is approved, the development will likely cast a shadow over the ground, which could in turn affect play and ultimately, future Test matches. Chief Executive, Daniel Gidney, has been invited to object on behalf of the Club, and we need as many of you as possible to show your support for Lancashire Cricket. We want to protect the heritage of the Red Rose and the Club, so we can continue to deliver quality First-Class cricket. The meeting is being held at Trafford Town Hall, just across from the ground. As a valued Member, we would greatly appreciate your support in our objections, and look forward to seeing you there.

The link doesn’t appear to be working, but that’s good news.
Hopefully that will be the end of it.

I received this email too. Glad to hear it has been refused though.
