Don’t know what happened with the ghost posts, but it was in response to Alan’s comment about Chilton not mentioning our bowling attack. I suggested that Chilton perhaps thinks that Mahmood will surprise us all and actually be fit next season. |

It would great if Mahmood and Jimmy were the mainstay of our bowling attack next season but I think we need a plan B. |

Contract extended until 2026. At least three more seasons leading the bowling attack.
He claims on the website: "The bowling unit here at the Club is outstanding" not necessarily a view shared throughout the hierarchy iirc.

Too much trying to bowl off spin knocked his action out slightly so that really reliable accuracy has gone?
Relied on building pressure so they nibbled at one that moved a touch. Don't need to if he bowls a regular supply of boundary balls.
Didn't seem to bowl much in India maybe started the season not fully fit but had to play as they had no alternative. Has bowled enough these last few matches to build some rhythm.
Maybe Craig White isn't having the impact we hoped.
Who knows.
Hope Tom can get his mojo back. He's been superb for us for a number of years.

Not hitting the crease hard enough and played with ease by the middlesex seconds. A real shame such a fine bowler had regressed so quickly and also he is contracted to 2026! |
