Great to have some cricket to watch on a bank holiday Monday and if it is anything like as good as the Formby V Southport game on Easter Monday, I will be well pleased.No better antidote to the madness of the modern world and especially on Bank Holiday Mondays than cricket on a pleasant sunny ground but suspect it will be pretty cold.

As I mentioned elsewhere, despite my dislike for Allott, there are a few good things going on cricket wise at the club . Long may it continue.

Quite a few names in the seconds this year that I don’t know but that is how it should be.

10 degrees pretty well all day at Aigburth tomorrow according to the forecast. I need min 13/14 these days really but with the wind from the north, I'm hoping it will be sheltered on the pavilion balcony which is a terrific view. If it was the usual wind off the river with 10 degrees, I wouldn't go near.

indeed with such an excellent start to World Snooker Final, it is looking less attractive by the minute

Could be doing the club a disservice but doubt they will give this link , not so early anyway. Who could possibly be interested?
