V Avoid any mishaps in this one and we should be promoted as with this time of the year the weather will start to impact and no doubt we will play four seamers and not pick Parkinson and as the International is over those going will have the joy of watching them take the temporary stand down. I'm there tomorrow weather pemitting make the most of it the season is coming to a close.

Would not be surprised if they use the Test wicket therefore Parky as long as they don't use the same one as the home T20 QF.
If this is Maxwell's last game, were we supposed to get Burns for the last two matches? Or would he also have had to go home for his State pre-season? How were they ever going to cover 14 matches with 10 from Burns and 5 from Maxwell with Aussie pre-season stating in September. Pure spin?

Decent day especially the afternoon session which is probably the best I have seen this season, a festering run in between Godleman and Bailey, plenty of verbals between the two in the morning almost boiled after the Derby opener walked down the track and hit Bailey straight over his head for six, next ball gets a run and it looked as if Bailey tried to trip him up mid run more words and Umpire Blackwell had to step in. Later Vilas was spoken too by Evans great stuff. Cricket probably one of those wickets were if you get in yo can score runs. Gleeson bowled well Parky looked rusty not surpring as he hs not played any games bailed out early ish wasn't overly warm. In a way won’t matter as last two games hopefully should have nothing riding on them I know, but I am still completely at a loss how, if Burns had stayed they would have got the announced 5 matches from Maxwell and 10 from Burns, if they had to return home early / mid September.
Maxwell arrived first and playing 2 games (if you include the students match) before Burns arrived. If Burns had been available for his 10 (without joining Australia A prior to the Ashes). It only covers up to end August. But Maxwell is not available for the remaining three. I suspect someone thought they were being clever being economical with the truth.

269/2 Bohannon 150 Livingstone 70

Derbyshire 244: Godleman 111; Gleeson 5-64, Mahmood 3-45 Lancashire 269-2: Bohannon 150*, Livingstone 70*, Jennings 38 Lancashire (5 pts) lead Derbyshire (1 pt) by 25 runs with eight wickets remaining Scorecard Lancashire all-rounder Josh Bohannon helped his side earn a first-innings lead over Derbyshire at Old Trafford by hitting his maiden century.
After a lost morning because of rain, the Division Two leaders moved on from their overnight 20-1 to 269-2, to build a lead of 25, with more to come.
England's Keaton Jennings was the only wicket to fall in the day, for 38.
But Bohannon went on to finish on 150, sharing an unbroken stand of 196 with Liam Livingstone, who closed on 70.
Bohannon's first century came in only his second game since being moved up the order to number three, in a bid to solve the problems caused by Haseeb Hameed's loss of form.
A frustrating second day for T20 Blast Finals Day newcomers Derbyshire ended with a late injury scare for seamer Ravi Rampaul, who went down heavily but stayed on the pitch to see out the day.
With play not getting underway until 13:40 BST, there were only 64 overs possible, but the Red Rose took a major step toward securing promotion back to Division One this week.
Fourth-placed Glamorgan are now looking unlikely to beat Worcestershire at New Road - and, if that proves the case, it would enable Lancashire to go up on home soil, if they can now build a big lead and complete victory against Derbyshire.
Lancs centurion Josh Bohannon told BBC Radio Lancashire:
"It is a bit surreal but I'm really chuffed. Everyone understands that a hundred is a great milestone for an individual but you have to kick on for the team and carry on batting.
"One of the first things we talked about at the start of the season was, if you get a hundred and you get in on a good pitch, an you get to 150 or make it a double century?
"Obviously Dane Vilas has done it this season. Hopefully I can kick on again and get us in a great position to win this game.
"I've been bumped up the order from eight to seven and then from seven to five and did OK and when I spoke to Dane he said he thought I deserved a bit more of a chance. I always felt I just needed one score there and I'd be fine and thankfully it's come."
Derbyshire all-rounder Anuj Dal:
"Thursday will be a massive day for us. We need to be in a position where we can't lose.
"We need to be in a position to scavenge what we can from the game.
"It's important when you're playing against a good side like Lancashire to show what you have in the locker room.
"Hopefully if we can get a few wickets early on we will be massively in the game."

Win by an innings next stop title

Win by an innings next stop title They have won the title if Gloucestershire are beaten by Sussex tomorrow.
Glos are currently 27 runs ahead with 4 wickets remaining. Sussex will surely win tomorrow.
Lancs have 204 points. If Glos lose tomorrow their maximum is 204 but they would only have 6 wins against Lancashire's seven.
Not to become champions would need a remarkable turn around at Bristol and Lancashire to score 0 points from their final games and be deducted points.
Edited:
Ignore that Northants can still catch them as they will beat Leicestershire tomorrow.
Lancashire need 5 points, or Northants to drop 5 points when they play their promotion rivals Durham and Gloucestershire.

Derbyshire 244: Godleman 111; Gleeson 5-64, Mahmood 3-45 & 129: Bailey 3-14, Parkinsoin 3-28, Maxwell 3-39 Lancashire 418: Bohannon 174, Livingstone 71, Vilas 51; Rampaul 3-47, Dal 3-60 Lancashire (23 pts) beat Derbyshire (3 pts) by an innings and 45 runs Lancashire defied the Manchester weather to beat Derbyshire by an innings and 45 runs and secure promotion back to Championship Division One with two games to spare.
After moving on from their overnight score of 269-2 to be bowled out for 418, Lancashire then dismissed the visitors second time around for 129.
Tom Bailey took three cheap early wickets to put the hosts in control.
Spinners Matt Parkinson (3-28) and Glenn Maxwell (3-39) finished the job.
The final wicket, when Ravi Rampaul skied to Lancashire captain Dane Vilas off Parkinson came with the rain falling across Old Trafford as Lancashire completed their innings victory.
Earlier, Lancs lost Liam Livingstone, who added just one to be out for 71 but Josh Bohannon went on to embellish his overnight maiden century, setting his new career-best at 174, while the 51 from skipper Dane Vilas made him only the fourth player to reach 1,000 County Championship runs this season - and the third in Division Two.
