He may well be quality but is he really what Lancashire need? He has a test average of 40 (batting maybe 6) and scored 140 rus in two matches HS 104* in the county championship last year (batting at 4).
His signing leaves us with these questions:
Who bats at three: Livingstone, Jones, Bohannon or Watling. All would seem a little high. But probably Bohannon.
Can Wood (or Bailey) bat at 7 or do we need overs from Bohannon (in Division One)?
No mention of the T20 - still hope for Maxwell's return?
