Gary Yates will step down from his role as Lancashire Cricket’s Academy Director at the end of July 2020 to pursue new opportunities.
In light of Gary’s departure, Chris Benbow and Karl Krikken will be responsible, on a temporary basis, for the County Age Group, EPP, and Academy operation for the remainder of the 2020 season. We are taking this opportunity to review our coaching structure and will update in due course in relation to the Club’s new permanent structure prior to the commencement of the Winter programme.
Gary has been a fundamental part of Lancashire Cricket for over thirty years, formerly as an established and high quality spin bowler, and subsequently in various senior coaching roles, which he has fulfilled admirably producing high class talent some of whom have gone on to be successful for both Lancashire and England.
Lancashire Cricket would like to thank Gary for his contribution across all aspects of the Club and for his involvement and success with the Academy over recent years and wish him all the best for the future.
