looks like it’s back to a ‘proper’ second team (other than Jones) - no guest appearances from Allen, Jennings, Bohannon, Wells
After all the celebrations of first class debuts last year for Hartley, Balderson, Morley, Moulton, Burrows and Lavelle has any one of them kicked on this year? Looks like Finn Allen should be Lancashire Cricket's Young Player of the Year. He’s younger than half of those listed and in the first team!

Agree Hartley is ahead of the others, but how much of that is because he’s been given the chances (in T20)? And has he kicked on from last year? He does seem to be ok as far as containment is concerned - and fielding - but was wicketless in 50 first class overs this year and has one wicket in 11 overs in T20 so far. At least the others will no doubt be given games in the RL50 whereas Hartley will be carrying the drinks and hand sanitiser for his franchise.
Buttler and Livingstone will be replaced by Bohannon and Jennings. Lancs have next to no chance in the two games against Notts that Livi and Buttler will miss, they always seem to lose against them at the best of times. |
