Word has it that there is trouble at the Lancashire InAction Group - a lobby organisation which claims to fight on behalf of members on all things Lanky.
, the grandly-titled Northern Sales Director of their fanzine Not The Spin, has been given the boot, apparently for holding ‘offensive views’. Many visitors to Old Trafford will have seen X peddling the rag at the tram stop.
News of the sacking was relayed by Group supremo who is quite adept at wielding the axe on key personnel thus ensuring the magazine becomes evermore a less than vital read.
A couple of years ago the founding editor of the group’s fanzine Not The Spin,A N Other, was ousted after a Twitter spat with Liam Livingstone. Despite an apology to the great man (L not LL) the group decided it was better off to keep in the good-books of the players rather than back their editor.
Pity that, as the magazine was once humorous and satirical and fulfilled the brief of a fanzine but has since become rather dull.
The nature of the offensive views haven’t been revealed yet but as far as those close to the action know, x's only recent offence was being turfed out of the Hilton Hotel at Emirates Old Trafford for waving a City flag after their latest Premier League title (pity they couldn’t achieve Champions League immortality - editor).
Mr L won’t be seen selling zines inside the ground – he is banned from setting foot in the place.
Meanwhile LAG’s latest campaign is to install a member on the Lancashire board even though it was revealed at the club’s recent AGM that no one had put themselves forward in recent years.
