Essex thrashing Sussex has put an end to that theory. Will now have to be a decent sized win to get a home game.

Agree highly unlikely that they will catch Essex.  Worcestershire now out of things.  Back to matching Hampshire’s result against Durham.  Gloucestershire could sneak it, if they play and win with whatever players they can raise who aren’t in a 10 day self isolation period provided Lancs and Hampshire both lose.

If they qualify 3rd they are likely to have to travel to one of Yorkshire, Surrey or Somerset for the QF with winners likely to play Glamorgan in the SF.
