With the arrival of Women's cricket and the Blast probably needed. Presumably the County Council providing the land and the club paying for the development.
Interesting that it will be four years before it will be ready. I wonder with the Red Rose Development next in line the funding for this may not be available until later?
Outgrounds bound to lose out on hosting 1st and 2nd team cricket though.....

MITS , Surely you wouldn’t disbelieve ‘LCCC insist they will continue to use their other out-grounds, which are based in Liverpool, Southport, Blackpool and Sedbergh.’
