Two resolutions are being put to the AGM this year.
1. Future MRG appointments to be made by the membership, rather than by the club, with elections if there are more candidates than vacancies.
2. To offer the members the chance to elect up to two board members from a choice of candidates who have particular skills and experience in member services & communications?
These have been tabled by Lancashire members rather than by the club. The club stated in October (see MRG minute 4.4.2.2) that it preferred to keep control of all appointments and avoid giving members the chance to elect their own representatives just in case the wrong type of person was elected.
The AGM is likely to be held early in the season. The first home match starts on April 21st and they usually go for end of play at a home game to maximize attendance. Only members from 2021 can vote. Only 42 people went to last year's despite it being after the Roses' match.
I'm one of the members who tabled resolution number 2.

Well done for your efforts Alan. Sadly I long ago gave up any hope of being able to feel part of Lancashire as an organisation anymore but I wish you success.

Again minimal questions allowed and those picked from stooges and care in the community types unlikely to ask anything challenging.
Last year's were largely taken up by the hundred and this year's included one about the amount of cc fixtures which are wider cricket issues not specific to the club.
There is this thin illusion of a democratic members club but its still a charade.
