I keep reading on BBC.com about new signings for next season for other clubs.
Have Lancs announced any new signings for next season from other clubs? I may have forgotten any if they were announced earlier in the season. Or I may have missed them.
Also, where do you guys go for Lancs news? I read about Mahmood signing a new deal on here before it was on BBC.com, so there is a better source for cricket news than Auntie.

You could look at the club website cricket.lancashirecricket.co.uk/But in my experience it's as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike. Last time I looked I couldn't find first eleven averages on it never mind second eleven averages. I look on the BBC county ins and outs for the information you want. The club website does provide a link for the livestream but that's about all I use it for. |

Nothing so far. Although I doubt there are many spots in the 1st XI for next season to fill. Dane and Crofty in the middle order if they both pack it in, and maybe an all rounder. Assume 2 of those would be overseas though.

Alan, yeah, I've read people not being too complementary about the club website, so was wondering if there is anything better. The county pages on BBC.com are worth a shout though, I forgot about them.
I take it if there won't be many spots to fill, that there can't be many leaving or at the end of their contracts. I'd have thought, if Vilas or Crofty was thinking of retiring they would have give the club a heads up by now, leaving it to the end of the season might be late if the club did want to bring someone in rather than promote from within.

I think Jos Buttler’s contract is only to the end of 2022.
Did Croft sign on for one or two last time? I can’t remember if it was announced. I know he did just one for 2019, then 2 to 2021.
Vilas probably only signed a one year for 2022 as overseas, but his situation depends as much as anything else on his application to be considered UK and not overseas.
Ric Gleeson’s was only for one year T20 subject to fitness, I would be amazed if he doesn’t get an offer for a further year.
No idea what Liam Hurt’s position is.
I assume that Bell’s “rookie” contract is not for only one year.
Haven’t a clue what Anderson’s postion is, they haven’t announced anything for years. But it may get interesting if he loses his ECB cental contract.
The rest are all signed up until 2023, 2024 or 2025.
The only signings for next year so far are Josh Boyden on a “rookie” and Williams.

With England's Test matches in September, and Buttler not in the Test side, is he likely to turn out for us in our final county games? I get the gut feeling he won't, but wonder what reason will be given.

Can’t help feeling that they could be very poor for team spirit if they do. I rather doubt that they want to turn out.

Surely if they have an England contract they only get paid by Lancs when they turn out for Lancs. Also what is the point of having them on anything but white ball only contracts.
Also, is Anderson out injured? Couldn't he have turned out in a CC game while England have been playing one dayers? Crawley just turned out for Kent, so I'm guessing he's injured.

Zero chance of Buttler and Livingstone playing 4 day games for us remember the pub game will be their focus for the next month

Tbf we've got a pretty strong squad and young players coming through so maybe they're just going to stick with what they've got next season.
