The Big Bash, which runs from 13 December until 4 February, features an overseas player draft. Intial pick includes Livingstone, Salt and Wood. I'd be surprised if Buttler doesn't play as well .

No news on any outgoings/incomings at the recent members forumIt was raised but the issue is finding anyone who can commit to a full season as illustrated by Haseen Ali and Mohammed Sundar. Over at Kent, for example, both of their overseas players are going home early. Someone asked about some proposal to have no overseas players but there was a non-commital answer.I think a lot of us were expecting more on the review but the only comment was that the ECB proposals may be delayed. The forum was recorded and should appear on the website soon.

No news on any outgoings/incomings at the recent members forum The video they posted on their website was a waste of time.
Lack of provision of a roving mike was simply amateurish. Static camera not clever either. Do they not realise?

Learnt nothing and it was almost like they selected questions beforehand. Wasn’t there in person so only can comment on the stream but like you said it was amateurish

Learnt nothing and it was almost like they selected questions beforehand. Wasn’t there in person so only can comment on the stream but like you said it was amateurish Can only remember three questions: Red Ball franchise, which as you say was almost a set up to allow Gidney back in RL50 team and No overseas which Chapple sat on fence.
Vilas looked embarrassed and should have been able to answer the obvious overseas follow up: when will he be reclassified as the club said he was trying to reclassify for 2022. Should have been a follow up on the previous club statement that Sundar may come back.
Bad the refer to Hundreds made at under 19 level without mentioning the centuries were for England U19 and why mention Bell and Hursty (in his words) and not Singh? Other questions inaudible. Bet Ellie Threlkeld wondered why she was there. More women's games played at OT but how many of the members watched?

After the forum had finished I asked Chapple if Sundar was returning, he said very unlikely, apparently when any player returns to India it's very hard to get them back. On the subject of Mr Gidney, his comments were gut wrenchingly embarrassing. Suddenly after all these years County Championship cricket was the greatest thing since sliced bread. He thanked everybody for turning up to attend the game, urged everyone to tell their friends about this wonderful new sporting invention. It was just like listening to the BBC commentators creaming over the 16.4. The guy has no idea how stupid he looks.

Just signed another young wicket keeper: Add Matty Hurst to Salt, Bell and Lavelle Also signed Sedbergh School's and Kendal's Tom Aspinwall
Think that means we aren't expecting to see a lot of Buttler and Vilas unlikely to keep if he stays, which I expect him to do.

Two good signings glad we have tied them up.
Is it strange Harry Singh isn't also signed? Thought he could be considered the best of the lot.
Gives us a few batsmen keepers but not sure how much we will see of Salt. Never sure if they sign players like Hurst as they simply are good players or they know other keepers are going and they fill a long term gap.
Wonderful we have so many england under 19 players. We are producing more talent these days.

At least 16 of whom already under contract for 2024.
