I agree this is ridiculous. Are they going to turn members away when they turn up for the Surrey game and only have there membership card which they have paid ££££s?

Completely agree with all the posts above. I’ve not been a member for about 8 years now and the club will not get a penny from me for first team games. Agree with the tenor of Silly Point’s post ; the whole apparatus of state and all the non state institutions just seems to be there to beat the hell out of the ordinary man. I ‘ve taken nearly all of my pleasure in recent years from league cricket each Saturday which is generally a really good watch. I’m hoping that the Liverpool Competition stays non limited over ; they do seem determined to do that.
There’s little else of pleasure in my life now other than drinking beer with friends.
I’m also looking forward to my visit to Taunton in April. They are behind Lancs in authoritarianism but going in the same direction.

Perhaps it's to justify having staff in the ticket office

Perhaps it's to justify having staff in the ticket office Well it's certain to keep them busy! I can see the point at the smaller grounds, though Lancs found that at Southport last year there were members who "bought" tickets but didn't turn up.
Time to contact the MRG I think.....

I think they won't be admitted but will be directed to the ticket office to obtain a ticket for entry. This is what happened at Southport last year..

I suspect this is just a symptom of the way that cricket is being organised by ECB downward.
Someone decides that the reservation of a place is a good idea for Test Matches and eventually for simplicity they decide to implement the same policies and procedures across the board.
It's pretty similar to the way that the ECB decide what Natonal Counties should sign up to because that's what First Class Counties need todo. They don't seem to realise that National Counties don't have any staff let alone hundreds of employees to do the ECB's bidding.

But you will still need a ticket for all home OT T20 games....this reminds me of last year's daft proposal for 30 days membership....

Already secured mine for all outground games.
