Daft shots all round, not just by the no. 10 - but probably the daftess was to stick with Plan A, and bowl Mahmood and Wood through the powerplay to allow them to get half way to the target before losing a wicket. Did the captain not learn anything in the first innings. Loye on commentary didn't understand what was going on.

It will be interesting to read Mr. Exile's report if he was there. Bowled out in less than 15 overs just sounds like brainless cricket; even in T20 you surely have to apply some common sense.

Sorry, Dave - was away on holiday and without internet so could only follow on TV scorecard. However, it looks pretty obvious that Lancs failed to assess the pitch correctly in the first place and thought that they were going to need a big total when, in fact, 140 would have been very defendable. They then failed to realise their error and ploughed on in best kamikaze style, making journeyman Danny Briggs look like Shane Warne. As others have commented, the bowling tactics were completely inexplicable on a worn and turning pitch and it was not the fault of Wood and Mahmood that the game was lost by the end of the power play.
I'm afraid that, much as I admire Livingstone's natural ability, he has never managed to convince me that he is anything but a slow learner.

In the T20 blast and county championship does anybody know how it is determined which teams you play twice?
This year in the T20 blast the two teams we don’t play twice are Birmingham and Leicestershire which I think are one of the strongest and one of the weakest teams so is there a seeding system? We always play Yorkshire twice which must be for commercial reasons. It has always bugged me that county cricket has leagues where you play some teams once and some teams twice.
