Yeah, we all know Scott don't really fight Lancs corner or be the most knowledgeable. But there's no harm in him, and he's not that bad to listen too. On a side note, I liked the Notts fella who was commentating today.

But this is what the BBC want somebody who toes the line and isn't controversial. I remember last season we played Hampshire in the Championship some weeks after the T20 Final and the Hampshire commentator for some reason talked about the T20 match. Rather than mention the big controversy at the end, when it seemed the second "last ball" should have been bowled again due to James Vince changing the field, (had it been bowled again, I think I'm correct in saying Lancashire would have won the silverware), Scott restricted himself to something along the lines of "it was certainly a strange ending". I was at the Hants v Kent match on the Isle of wight the other day (when Parky took 4 wkts) and at a free hit the bowling side tried to change the field and the umpire stepped it and stopped them. |
