will miss the next two championship matches - Worcester and Hampshire Will weaken the side as well potentially crucial games at the wrong end of the table. If we can win both these Hampshire and Worcester would be favourites for the drop. Losing not only Livingstone and Parkinson but Anderson as well, doesn't help the team. Presumably Croft and Parry will step up into today's team. |

Lions playing at the moment. Spinners are Bess and Briggs as Parkinson not on the tour, injured.
Strange that Livingstone is not playing in this only 4 day game.

Been catching up on the scorecards today from the recent Lions games. Is there a reason Alex Davies wasn;t in for the 4 day games?

He was only in the Lions squad for the one day games. Holden (Middlesex) preferred by the selectors at the top of the order. Plus they already had Billings, Duckett and Pope as wicket keeping options.

Very surprised to hear tha, I would argue that red ball is his best format! Going off how the others did, I wonder if they regret not picking him. |
