Does anybody know why Lancashire doesn’t play more championship games at out grounds?
When you read the information from Liverpool cricket club about hosting games at Aigburth there does not seem to be a significant if any financial loss for Lancashire to play a game at an out ground. The out grounds seem popular with both spectators and players. At times it seems difficult to manage the amount of cricket being played at Old Trafford with Lancashire games, the hundred internationals not forgetting the odd pop concert. Part of the motivation for building the ground at Farington seems to be taking some of the strain off Old Trafford.
Just wondering what I’m missing.

We usually do play two out of seven home games at out grounds, can't think of any county that plays more than that.
