Tristan Stubbs, thought of as a one-day specialist batting at no.4 for South Africa at Cape Town was out twice(3 from 11 balls and 1 from 14 balls)on his very first day of Test cricket, just can't imagine that ever happening before, an opener maybe, but ....
South Africa 55 and 62/3 India 153

To be honest it probably goes to show that certain countries don't care about test cricket, the wicket had grass left on it, from what I'm led to believe the SA's are sending a weak team to NZ? for their next series. The so death of test cricket has begun on the alter of fast food junk, sad to say it won't get any better

The so death of test cricket has begun on the alter of fast food junk, sad to say it won't get any better Squad: DG Bedingham (2 tests) plays for Durham N Brand (capt) (0 tests) King's College, Taunton; Cardiff MCCU sub pro in Lancashire League in 2022 R de Swardt (0 tests) Lowerhouse Pro 2023 C Fortuin (w-k) (0 tests) Surrey Premier League Pro 2023 MZ Hamza (6 tests) East Anglia Premier League Pro 2021 TL Moreki (0 tests) Northamptonshire Premier League Pro 2016 MC Mpongwana (0 tests) never played outside RSA? D Olivier (15 tests) Derbyshire and Yorkshire (South African Cricket Annual Cricketer of the Year: 2017) D Paterson (2 tests) Nottinghamshire KD Petersen (12 tests) Durham 2022 pro Rawtenstall 2018 etc. DL Piedt (9 tests) almost Burnley pro in 2012 (South African Cricket Annual Cricketer of the Year: 2016) R van Tonder (0 tests) Billericay pro 2023 S von Berg (0 tests) Rishton pro 2016-17 etc.
K Zondo (5 tests) Darwen Pro 2015
~50 tests between them. Let the English schoolboy be the captain. Don't know who by or when these tests were arranged but basically everyone else is either injured or has a contract with a RSA T20 franchise which is happening at the same time. Bedingham is class, by all accounts.
