Safety Concerns at EOT

A Manchester Evening News report that reveals officials have raised concerns four times since 2021, leading to emergency meetings and safety certificates being signed off on the day of gigs including Harry Styles and The Killers.
In the article there was an emergency meeting held hours before the Ashes Test match.

Not over, surprised by this. I have posted on here before about this , but I have a friend, who was a mega senior civil engineer involved in the new Wembley , Arsenal stadium and many other major projects . They were asked to tender for EOT but were beaten on price. They were asked to tender to sort out the cock up afterwards, but told Lancashire where to go.

Sometimes you get what you pay for. It reminds you of the astronaut who said that the worrying thing was the spaceship was built by those who gave the lowest tender.

It also brings to mind a retired architect I was speaking to at Chelmsford many years ago . He told me that he had said to a Lancashire committee man that they should speak to the architect who did Trent bridge. They told him to mind his own business.

I remembered that the club had to apologise after stewarding shortage cuts T20 double-header capacity by half at short notice back in 2021.
