Mine arrived yesterday, will look shortly, by the way who else buys the Yellow bible? Mine also arrived yesterday. Unpacked it now sits on the shelf with all the others. I read them less and less these days, but they are a useful reference, especially the pre-internet years.

I've got every Wisden from 1980 to 2020. I have stopped buying it because all the statistics/ match information is available online and also because I have started having difficulty reading the small print used.

When I saw the first line ( I’d clicked on the thread without reading heading) , assumed we were talking about late memberships. I have a friend who has joined this year on one of the ones where you get to watch 11 or 12 days play whatever it is and he hasn’t had his yet. He wasn’t going to Surrey game anyway, but when he phoned up, he was told that if it hasn’t turned up by the time of the Hampshire much, he can pick up a duplicate there.
Back on topic, I only ever bought an occasional Wisden so I did after the Ashes 2005 and I did after our championship win. Nowadays, I don’t even always buy the Playfair cricket annual as my interest in cricket focuses more and more on league cricket. Until a few years ago I had every Playfair from 1974

Mine arrived yesterday, will look shortly, by the way who else buys the Yellow bible? I bought mine today. Usman Khawaja who was our overseas player back in 2014 has been named as one of the five cricketers of the year. In 2015 Wisden: In the County Championship: he played in 7 matches and scored 413 runs at an average of 31.76. In Royal London: 116 runs at an average of 23.20 with a score rate of 89.92. T20 Blast: 128 runs; average of 32.00; score rate of 126.73.

I thought he would have been a descent overseas signing this summer since he is a red ball player for Australia he would have had good availability during our season.
