Hi all,
Random question here but hoping someone might be able to help me! I’m considering getting some binoculars for cricket watching and was interested to know if anyone has any and could recommend functions etc that are useful? Initially I’ve seen that you can get zoom or fixed lenses and was wondering if it is worth paying extra for the zoom? Or if fixed lenses are fine if there is a specific magnification level that’s ideal (8x, 10x and 12x seem to be quite common)?
I’d mainly be using them to watch cricket at big grounds rather than clubs (in my London exile most cricket I watch is at the Oval) if that makes a difference?
Thanks in advance for any help anyone might have!

My Bins. are VIKING OPTICAL, (8x32) ...... Which I use mainly for occasional bird watching. However, I've found them to be also suitable for cricket viewing, for example at large grounds such as Old Trafford.

Suggest a search of the internet that will probably give you a better idea Thanks - I did have a Google but got some contrasting opinions and don’t know enough to apply any critical analysis to those opinions (so often the case when you don’t know much about the subject) so thought it might be worth asking on here in case there was any input. Thanks very much for your input Man in the Stand and Esteban - it is much appreciated!
