Watched the last hour and a half and didn’t look like we were going to take a wicket. I thought Maharaj was kept on too long. What is the reluctance to bring Bailey back ; is he only effective with a new ball like Kyle Hogg was?
When there’s little spin it seems to me , Maharaj’s arm ball and his ability to get players to go back when they should be forward lose their potency although he seemed to think he was unlucky every ball.
Early wickets needed tomorrow ; I think they are ahead now.

Rather fear this is going to be in the same category as Southport as a target with a different result.

Livi has been terrible in the champ all season, just a one day slogger. Pays your money and makes your choice:
Quote from the BBC report last night attributed to Alex Davies: ".... We know our batters can chase down a score last innings, but we take each game as it comes.... "
Quote from the BBC live commentary page today: "Carnage at Headingley as a fourth wicket goes down in the space of six overs."
Who's right?
There was I thinking they had managed to chase down 1 total in 12 games before this match this season.

Livi has been terrible in the champ all season, just a one day slogger. He has the ability to bat for long periods as shown in Sri Lanka last winter last week if he had batted for say another 90 minutes we would have beaten Somerset however modern day batsmen that appears to be a thing of the past

Another 90 (in his Somerset mode) would have probably have done the trick at Headingley. 28 off 56 balls today (66 minutes). 39 off 39 at Somerset (43 minutes). Seems like he was trying to bat long today.
