Gone without a fight, still the Board will be happy the hotel will be full for the big games next season, the Conference Centres will still pack them in and on the pitch Lancashire will play 10 left arm spinners plus a stumper The Board have got the team they deserve the mnembers and supporters have not. A grim day

Gone without a fight, still the Board will be happy the hotel will be full for the big games next season, the Conference Centres will still pack them in and on the pitch Lancashire will play 10 left arm spinners plus a stumper The Board have got the team they deserve the mnembers and supporters have not. A grim day Lancs have lost 5 of the last 8 roses championship matches since 2011 (no games 2012, 2013 and 2015) no need to say the other three were drawn.
This year they have effectively saved the white rose from relegation:
Game One: 46-0 to 109 all out after bowling Yorshire out for 192. Game Two: 105/0 and 145/1 after bowlign Yorkshire out for 209.
Couldn't make it up.

The batting has been very poor this season with the 3 main culprits who have played the majority of the season being Livingstone, Chanderpaul and Hameed. Jennings/Croft/Davies/Vilas are the others who have played in most games and done have ok without breaking any pots.

The batting has been very poor this season with the 3 main culprits who have played the majority of the season being Livingstone, Chanderpaul and Hameed. Jennings/Croft/Davies/Vilas are the others who have played in most games and done have ok without breaking any pots. A bit unfair on Jennings who did better than that. The one batsman in the team who could consistently build an innings. But certainly true of the rest. It's sad to recall that pre-season, we were being tipped for the top partly on the strength of our top six batsmen – four Test players and two Lions (one of whom, Livingstone, had been in the winter Test squad). It's extraordinary that Livingstone has not managed one 50 in nine matches. And aside from Hameed's personal hell, the complete falling away of Chanderpaul was a shock (did the club ever officially disclose why he has not been picked recently?) However much people like to glibly blame things on the board, cricket director, coaches, scoreboard operator or whoever, it all boils down to what Graham Onions said in his sensible interview last night: there are some talented, experienced players there who have not produced the goods and no amount of coaching is going to sort that out – it's down to the individuals themselves.

In the case of Chanderpaul Allott said on Radio Lancs that we probably had him one season to long
