Somerset 429/8 off 100 overs.
Nottinghamshire still in control of their own destiny needing 300 runs to be sure of being in Division One next year.
Even assuming Lancashire win, they need 3 more batting bonus points than Nottinghamshire achieve.
So: if Lancs score less than 300 in 110 overs Notts stay up. if Lancs score 300-349 runs in 110 overs Notts need to score 200 if Lancs score 350-399 runs in 110 overs Notts need to score 250 if Lancs score 400 runs in 110 overs Notts need to score 300 in their 110 overs
They currently are 174/5 in 53 overs. 57 overs left. Need to double their score 350 all out in 110 would be a handy first innings lead, if Notts fail to make 250 would make the next two days nailbiting. Berg and Holland have slowed he scoring down.

It's now a fact, we are down. Different players/coaches/management in the last 7 years since we won the championship but same results, yo-yo club continues but said it before, we will really struggle to get back up next year

The cruel irony if we win this game and Notts lose will go down by one point which will be the point deducted for a slow over rate but in saying that to quote Graham Onions, the batting has been s***e all season

The cruel irony if we win this game and Notts lose will go down by one point which will be the point deducted for a slow over rate but in saying that to quote Graham Onions, the batting has been s***e all season Much as over rate point deductions are silly and avaoidable, that is not why they were relegated, as you say the batting has to take the responsibility. In far too many games we looked by a division two side.
Lancs - Notts 49/0 to 93 all out setting a target of 10.
Lancs - Essex 29/6 and 105 all out after a par first innings Worcs - Lancs 77/0 to 103 all out Lancs - Yorks 46/0 to 109 all out chasing 192
Surrey - Lancs two 50+ partnerships for their 9th wicket Somer - Lancs 99 all out
Yorks - Lancs 134 all out after good first innings lead
any one of those, would / should have made the difference. When they lost they lost badly. Far less often than needed no-one took stood up to take hold of a match and win it, or control it or save it.
Did they know their best side?
6 players made their 'seasonal' debut in the last 4 games, as selection became more and more disjointed.
In every one of the last 8 championship games a player was selected for the first team team for the first time this year. Of those 12 seasonal debuts, in those last 8 matches, 4 only played the one match.
Parkinson only once played consecutive matches.
Not counting emergency signings Khan and Watt only two contracted players did not play for the first team in the championship: Hurt (must count himself unlucky not to have played) and Kerrigan (who of course gave up playing to join the coaching staff).
