Letter taken down amid fears of blurring of lines. But seems like Lancashire CCC are in a bit of mess as clearly whatever lines there are, are blurred by the choice of coaching staff and by agreeing to have only one county involved.
"Each new side will be run by a team board with an independent chairman"
Time to name the independent Board?
a spokesperson said:
"The letter was taken down as it was inadvertently misleading. We look forward to hosting Manchester Originals in the same way we're looking forward to hosting England v Pakistan for the Specsavers Test next year and delivering a first class experience here at Emirates Old Trafford."
So that means full throttle on the club's media outlets, because that is how they sell tickets for the Tests. I don't think so, if they have had to take this letter down.
Have they misunderstood what they are letting themselves in for?
This article on Cricinfo (link above) has now been updated with this as a footnote:
"December 18, 1300 GMT - This article was updated to reflect the fact Mark Chilton will no longer be working for the Originals in the Hundred"
So it appears the Lancashire hierarchy of Gidney and Allott have finally realised / been told what independent means (they can't just treat the franchise as their own) and Chilton pays the price.

Just received an e-Mail from the Club inviting me to save money off tickets.
I have told them not to send me anything else relating to “Manchester Originals”.
Let’s see whether they take any notice.

I've received the email as well, see below. It is a short window period to purchase discounted tickets.
We hope that you're looking forward to an exciting season of red and white ball cricket, with a young, exciting Red Rose team challenging in all competitions with a real focus on the County Championship and of course the Vitality Blast and 50 Over Competitions. This season also includes hosting a number of Manchester Originals fixtures at Emirates Old Trafford.
We understand The Hundred competition is new and may not be everyone's cup of tea, however, Manchester Originals home fixtures at Emirates Old Trafford could be the perfect opportunity to introduce your family and friends to the sport you love.
As part of your Lancashire Cricket Club Membership you also have priority access to Manchester Originals tickets with 50% off between Wednesday 15 January and Friday 31 January.
Witnessing the live atmosphere and being able to watch some of the biggest stars could put them on the road to being a fully fledged cricket fan.

I unsubscribed a while ago. It didn't even seem sad any more. I will always support the team and try to get to a couple of out ground and away matches every year but I can no more identify with the culture at OT than I could have a season ticket at Chelsea. I've done my grieving ; there is nothing left to grieve for.

Watching a TV Programme, Midsomer Murders
The description of the episode is “Could the dislike of a Cricket Format really be the motive for Murder?”

Next move will be to remove any reference to the word Cricket! How about runners instead of batsmen; catchers instead of fielders.....referees instead of umpires etc etc etc..come back Billy Bowden....

The European Super League being formed you do not need to second guess what the ECB are trying to achieve with this competition. Just 8 teams can see it coming a mile off
