He's been outstanding this season, I'd go as far as to say he's been the best fast bowler in the competition and wholly deserves the England call up. As I said pretty early on he's nailed on to be a wildcard pick for the Hundred, I know there isn't much love for that tournament but it'll be a nice pay day for Ric and put him in the shop window for further Franchise gigs.

It's a shame he has gone down the route of being a T20 specialist but it seems that it is fitness driven rather than financially motivated.

He said in an interview after the blackpool game something like 2-3 weeks but doesn't look like that is happening. Real shame he has had these injuries after starting his pro career so late.

Played in the 100 this evening took 2-22 in his 3.2 overs. We might see him in T20 next season with a bit of luck.

It was good to see him bowl again, even in the crisp packet cup. He was bang on the money as well, right from the first ball and certainly bore comparison with his much feted, much younger fellow opening bowler, Josh Little.
I've racked my brains but I can't think of any other36yo bowlers that can crank it up to 90mph, anyone else?
