I see eldest son Corey (and father) has left Alderley Edge and to play for St Annes.  Corey must be 15 ish and playing senior cricket.  Rocky a couple of years younger maybe was in their seconds last weekend.

Don't think so at senior level.  Corey is the bowler whilst Rocky bats.  Although they both seemed to struggle to get games for Southport & Birkdale last year, they could have bad availability, but seems strange they are now County 2nd XI having not played much senior club cricket.  Maybe they left the club.

Young Rocky just reached his hundred.

With a quick scan through the Ball By Ball. He went to 65 to 75 in 2 balls 4 and 6. Then 12 singles to 87, a 2 to 89 and then 11 singles. I guess he put his head down to make sure he reached his century. About 31 dot balls in that sequence.

They have both played very little club cricket due to school cricket and injuries.

I really don't see how school cricket compares to first team club cricket.

Keshana Fonseka also picked. Again, nobody from Yorkshire. In the past they always seemed to have 3 or 4 in these squads.

If (and a big if) he's half as good as his Dad Lancs will probably get one season out of him before the inevitable lure of the IPL/Pakistan/USA/100 etc etc franchise leagues get hold of him for most of the English cricket season.

Rocky scored 106 & Kesh Fonseka scored 54. They both look highly promising. James Dunn took 2 wickets.

Good to hear. Seeing Mike Antherton's son playing in the 2nd XI game at Liverpool I was trying to think if any son of professional cricketeer has had a career better than their father...any ideas?

Oh and Shaun Pollock was more successful than father Peter but the comparison with uncle Graeme would be more debated.
