Good win against a side who are much better than their results so far might suggest. Careless batting by Jennings and Salt, albeit the pitch was a used one and not as flat as the commentators kept suggesting. Great performances by Gleeson and Wood but Lamb seems to be having a nightmare of a season. David looks a really good signing. As a bonus Yorkshire lost to Leicestershire!!!

Well to a degree we got out of jail again given that they were within 30 runs of victory with just the three wickets down. It seems we might need to score 200 to be able to relax a bit.
Going back a couple of days, what did people think of the LBW that tied the Roses game? Someone (admittedly biased) on the Yorkshire forum suggested it might have hit a second lot of stumps; I thought it looked reasonably straight and certainly not a howler of a decision.

Got the impression even Brook thought he was out

We were a bit careless in the power play and maybe should have got to 190/200 but, even with Lamb bowling pies, Worcs were always going to struggle to get 184 on a used pitch that was getting slower and slower. When they tried to attack in the last few overs, they just went down in a heap. In spite of losing three games on the bounce, Worcs look a decent side and I think they will do better.

I thought Ric Gleeson got us out of jail. Munro had his eye in and then Gleeson came on bowling rapid yorkers, took two wickets, game over. Didn't realise he was quite that quick. Danny Lamb going through a bad patch after looking really solid with bat and ball last season. Agree that away games could be difficult with our attack, we will have to score big totals.

Hope, by doubt they will, offer him something after this T20 season is over. Wonder if he will even play in the RL50? Think he has part time coaching job with or near Blackpool.
His Lancs stats First Class: 12 matches, 348 overs, 60 wickets, ave: 19.93 BB: 6/43 5wI/10wM: 5/1 T20: 15 matches, 42 overs, 15 wickets, SR: wicket every 16.86 balls, econ 8.65 BB 5/33

Think he signed a 2 year white ball deal at the beginning of this season. Regards to the RL50 another 8 players drafted to the 100 at the end of the blast. Gleeson will be one of those if he carries on in this form

Gleeson will be one of those if he carries on in this form Initially signed a T20 only contract for 2022, to see how things went. Part of the agreement was to be able to test his rehab by playing for Blackpool and Cumbria (again T20 only and he wasn’t even allowed to play two consecutive games Sunday / Monday on the early May Bank Holiday) none of which happens without Lancs' approval. They may or not extend that now but that depends more on fitness than form. Do they think he can bowl more than 4 overs a day without breaking down again? Fingers crossed.
Wonder, if he will put himself forward into the Hundred wild-card draft. Probably good for an end of career swan song?

Notts Trent Bridge tonight

Notts set up similar to us with three spinners so I wouldn't anticipate any team changes for this game unless enforced, although if the weather is dicey it could be worth playing an extra seamer, particularly as Croft could wheel out his darts.

Good chance of rain interruptions until halfway through so could be a DLS lottery. Was going to go but weather not tempting. Seems a long time since we last won at Trent Bridge in any form of cricket.
