Bit of dissent from the Notts top order Duckett and Moores not happy at all, that’s the way it is these days. Interesting watching and listening to the Trent Bridge TV channel, in the post match interview who ever was talking to Moores (snr) was practically laughing at it. But as Moores pointed out they qualified after losing the first two matches a couple of years ago. They will remain confident. Bad balls were getting wickets tonight. Croft takes some excellent catches still, an amazing fielder, think they said he has more catches in domestic T20 that anyone else. Lancs have to eat, sleep and repeat before losing Wood, Livingstone and Salt. Who comes in? Wells, Hurt and Bohannon? Today they opted to promote their power hitters and looked exposed in the last 5 overs, compared with earlier games when they held back David and Livingstone and were able to finish strongly, after Vilas and Croft had slowed things in the mid overs, I think it's better that way, as Croft & Vilas are less tempted to try and bat long.

Emphatic way to get our first T20 win in 10 at TB. Disastrous decision by Mullaney to bowl first, presumably in case of DLS coming into play. With no overs lost and the pitch offering quite a bit of seam movement and turn, batting first was a huge advantage, even if Notts had played well instead of dropping catches and giving away boundaries with sloppy fielding. It was pretty clear from the way the scoring rate slowed towards the end of the Lancs innings that Notts would really struggle to get anywhere near 178, unless Lancs served up a lot of pies, and so it proved. Strikes me that the Notts side has vast experience but has got a bit old, a bit like Lancs at the end of the 1990s. The contrast in the field couldn't have been much greater (and yes, I know that Croft is no spring chicken). Yorks undone by DLS and lost again...oops...

We do look a bit underpowered at times. Thought it was a shame that David got out to a low percentage shot against Patel with the prospect of pie chucking from Ball and Fletcher to feast on. Good point about Notts and their fielding, difficult to hide all of Sammy, Ball, Fletcher and Christian.
I'm hoping we don't lose our international players for more than two of the group games but it's a shame we're so badly affected for the Warwickshire game in the Championship.

Does anyone know why Rauf has been playing for Yorkshire but Hassan Ali hasn’t for us in the T20? I’m assuming their international commitments are the same.
