First sign of any weakness in David's game. He didn't move his feet and ended up playing away from his body at a ball that turned away a little. Livingstone, whose bowling figures outrageously flattered him, needs to adapt his batting from the IPL approach. His huge natural talent hasn't so far seemed to include the ability to learn quickly: he should have watched the way Jennings played. I can see why people might think we looked underpowered towards the end of the innings but the ball was more and more sticking in the pitch and timing was getting harder and harder. Mullaney must have known this would happen but took a punt on the weather and lost. I hope we don't make our usual mistake of underrating Derbyshire this afternoon - wouldn't be the first time.
